Further to my recent grumblings of having to travel a lot and due to my vast experience of clocking up those miles, someone mentioned that I should do a top tip blog for travelling, so here goes, please bear in mind this is just my personal opinion and what works best for me!Get your Dad to stop as many times as you need on the journey, to stretch your paws and have your comfort breaks. Drink plenty of waterMake sure you can stretch out on the back seat or in your travel cage. If you are sitting on the back seat with a Car Travel Harness for Dogs make sure the Seat Belt Tether gives you enough room to move around but...
Tuffdogs Stuff have just launched our own branded dog food! You might ask why? Well, there is a simple answer really....... because we had the opportunity to do so and we believe in the product. We know that the question of 'what is best to feed my dog?' is a very divisive question. It is bound to be. There are so many different varieties of dog food, so many different ways of producing it, so many different opinions on what is 'good' and what 'isn't good'. It is very, very difficult to know what to do. The science behind dog food has moved on enormously in recent years, there is a much better understanding of what is generally regarded as...
Surely a DOG LEAD is a dog lead? Any old lead will do? It does what it's supposed to do? No, not really, in my experience there are good DOG LEADS and bad leads and I've used plenty of both over the years. Ones that have stopped the circulation to my hand as I have wrapped it around, ones that have burnt my hand when the extendable bit extended far too quickly and ones that have only lasted a matter of days. One dog lead that I am using at the moment which I am particularly impressed with is the Long Paws Comfort Leash. It's not extendable, it's not a bungee, but it's a STRONG DOG LEAD & a SECURE DOG LEAD. The main reason why I...

Spike is in his 13th year and a little bit stiff in the joints so he likes a bed that supports his weight, you could say it is an orthopaedic dog bed. Here he is with his Christmas present, Santa. The bed is a Hi-K9 Raised Pet Bed, it is a canvas cover stretched over a zinc coated metal frame, and Spike also has a fleece reversible cover on his. Because it is on legs and...
So here at Tuffdogs Stuff we know a little bit about knots, especially PARACORD KNOTS. You might well ask ‘what on Earth are Paracord Knots, or even PARACORD? Well Paracord is a shortened word for PARACHUTE CORD, and as the name suggests it is cord that is used in the manufacture of parachutes, so of course it is very strong. As well as being used for parachute cords, Paracord has been used for a long while in the manufacture of all sorts of things, and one of those things is SURVIVAL BRACELETS, Bear Grylls has his own design! The concept being that a very long piece (about 12ft) of very strong (over 200kgs breaking strain,) useful cord can be woven into a bracelet, to be...
